Rooted in opportunity and innovation, Johnston Community College's new Advanced Manufacturing Center stands as a beacon of progress in the heart of North Carolina, fostering economic development and preparing individuals for career advancement. Drawing inspiration from the precision of manufacturing processes, our design incorporates mechanical diagrams from the school's equipment manuals, complemented by elements of institutional pride symbolized by the reimagined jaguar mascot. This standout feature not only creates a visual focal point but also cultivates a sense of pride and belonging among students, staff, and visitors. Prioritizing both form and function, the design integrates intuitive wayfinding elements to facilitate seamless navigation throughout the facility. Amidst its striking visuals and directional guidance, this project aspires to be more than just a building; it aims to be a community resource, empowering individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the modern workforce. Through thoughtful design, we endeavor to establish a space that welcomes individuals from all walks of life, embraces diversity, and fosters collaboration, thereby laying the foundation for a brighter, more prosperous future.
